INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Clearthink Counselling & Psychotherapy
Many people find speaking to someone who’s not involved can help them to feel better. Talking about issues and difficulties you have can encourage change.
I specialise in providing psychotherapy and counselling in several main areas: Sex, Intimacy & relationships, LGBTQ+, Anxiety & Depression, Neurodiversity & Neurodivergence.
Alongside my clinical work, I offer psychological consultancy to individuals, creative professionals, and organisations seeking a deeper understanding of human behaviour, relationships, and emotional dynamics.
I offer discreet, safe, and supportive psychological therapies either online or in person. I am fully qualified and adhere to the BACP code of ethics.
Please see the Info page for more details on fees and locations.
LGBTQIA+ affirmative
Counselling and therapy can help with many of the issues the LGBTQIA+ communities face. Some of these commonly include the exploration of gender identity and sexual orientation, substance misuse, relationship issues with family and partners, loneliness and lack of self-worth. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore these issues as openly as possible.
Anxiety
Anxiety can take shape in many different forms; from a general feeling of unease and worry, to a specific fear or phobia. If you feel anxiety may be impacting the way you live your life, counselling and psychotherapy could help.
During sessions, we will look at where these fears and worries may have come from, as well as practical tools for managing and coping. These could range from breathing techniques to calm the symptoms of a panic attack, to targeting specific thought patterns and challenging them.
Sex, Intimacy & Relationships
Difficulties with sex and intimacy are more common than we often feel able to talk about. You might be experiencing low libido, erectile difficulties, pain during sex, challenges with arousal or orgasm, or the impact of past trauma on your sexual or relational life. You may also be navigating mismatched desire, feeling disconnected from your body, or finding that intimacy brings up anxiety, pressure, or shame.
In therapy, we can explore these experiences together in a thoughtful and compassionate way, looking at how your history, relationships, and emotional world may be shaping your current difficulties. Working at your pace, we create a space where sex and intimacy can be spoken about openly and without judgement – supporting you to build a greater sense of safety, understanding, and connection within yourself and with others.
Neurodiversity & Neurodivergence
I work with individuals who identify as autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, offering a neurodiversity-affirming space that recognises difference rather than pathologising it. You might be experiencing burnout, sensory overwhelm, difficulties with relationships, or the impact of long-term masking and feeling misunderstood. In therapy, we can explore how your mind and nervous system work, making sense of your experiences while supporting you to reduce shame, build self-trust, and find ways of living and relating that feel more manageable, as well as developing practical strategies to help make life feel less demanding.

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.

Hove Therapy Rooms
Face to face counselling sessions work best for some of us as it can create a feeling of privacy and security that isn’t always possible when talking online.
Our Rooms in Hove are in a discreet location and are clean and comfortable, they are soundproofed and offer a safe space away from home to talk openly and freely.
Online Sessions
Online counselling and therapy can be incredibly helpful, not only for those living around the world but also for those who prefer to talk from the comfort of their own home.
Since the pandemic struck, more and more people have chosen to have therapy online and I offer sessions via a number of different platforms such as Zoom and Skype.
